The charity project «From Children to Children»
The project is realized under the patronage of Kostroma region Administration and “The Russian national ballet “Kostroma”.
The project is held in SMALL TOWNS AND VILLAGES of KOSTROMA REGION.
The first tour of «The Governorate Ballet School» within the charity project «From Children to Children» took place from the 15th of April to the 20th of May, 2011 in eight towns of Kostroma region: Nerekhta, Galich, Bui, Volgorechensk, Sharya, Soligalich, Susanino village and Krasnoe-on-Volga.
The success and excellent results of this project marked the beginning of a new tradition in Kostroma region – to carry out the charity project «From Children to Children» annually.
The second project took place in 2012 from the 7th of April to the 5th of May in five towns of Kostroma region: Neya, Nerekhta, Galich, Bui and Volgorechensk.

The charity project «From Children to Children» was organized by «Russian national ballet «Kostroma» and choreographic college «The Governorate Ballet School» with the purpose of aesthetic education of the youth of Kostroma region. Its task is to make the art of dance closer to the children's perception through the implementation of tour activity and a slight representation of the choreographic material by the children themselves. It gives to each child the possibility to discover the world of dance, to attend a performance directly in his own city and the young dancers get the professional experience of tours and the opportunity of regular communication with the audience.
The performance «The world of Dance» which is presented within the project «From Children to Children» - is multi-genre. In this performance the dancers show the bright palette of dances from the masterpieces of the classical heritage and contemporary compositions to the dances of the peoples of the world. Their peers get a chance to enjoy not only the international language of dance but also the world-known pieces of music, beauty and originality of national costumes, the mastery and acting technique of the young dancers.
On the completion of each performance the children who are interested in the profession of a ballet dancer, have an opportunity to go through the first qualifying round before the main acceptance trials in the choreographic college «The Governorate Ballet School». A summary of each meeting is summed up at the round table where the leaders and teachers of the local institutions of additional education can discuss the performance and discuss the professional questions with the leading teachers of the college.
