«THE WORLD OF DANCE»

The art of dance is the world. The world that creates the vast expanses of beauty and perfect. The world which aims to delight! The students of «The Governorate Ballet School» devote it their lives but, first of all, their love...

The project is realized under the patronage of Kostroma region Administration, the department of social protection of Kostroma region and the Russian national ballet “Kostroma”.

The charity project is carried out for foster children, students of boarding schools, disabled children, children from incomplete and poor families, students of amateur dance groups as well as for the winners of city and regional contests among the schoolchildren.

For the first time the performance «The world of Dance» took place within the charity project dedicated to the International Children's Protection Day on the 1st of June, 2007. Then it was submitted as a diploma work of the first graduates of «The Governorate Ballet School».

Traditionally the concert of «The Governorate Ballet School» is held on the main stage of Kostroma – in the concert-exhibition center «Gubernsky».

«The world of Dance» - is a vivid performance created by the students of the choreographic college and the students of «The Children Dance School». Every year the audience has a chance to plunge into the completely new world of dance. Day by day students comprehend its diversity within the walls of the «The Governorate Ballet School», expand their professional capabilities, and the result of their hard work will be estimated by the strict spectators - their peers.

The original video animation, set professional light and musical equipment, decorations and hundreds of costumes are specially made for the performance.

For 6 years over 40 choreographic compositions have been created and now they are included in the classical and folk parts of the performance.

«The World of Dance» brings to all children of Kostroma and Kostroma region bright emotions, unforgettable impressions and real aesthetic pleasure.
