The students mastered the dance from the golden fund of the ensemble “Sayany” – “The Bayadskii dance”. This dance describes the life of Mongolian people, their work and holidays. The choreographer believed that with the help of this dance the students can get acquainted with the originality of Asian people who are close on spirit, religion and culture to the peoples of Buryatia, Kalmykia and Tuva.
The male part of the future dancers of the ballet “Kostroma” was afforded the honor of dancing the fragment of the ancient Tuva male dance – “The Dance of the Eagle”. Up to this day the right to perform this dance was given only to the winner of Tuva wrestling competition, the main event of the national holiday “Nadym”. Mastering the elements of the choreographic composition “A Black Horse”, the students tried to penetrate in peculiarities of the male character: power, might and temperament of a freedome-loving animal. The girls worked on the grace of movements, poses and slimness of lines, mastering the elements of Tuva dance “Sounding tenderness”.
Through the diversity of national movements, reflecting the everyday life of Asian people, the students learned how to stay in the saddle, to work with the whip, to grind flour, to weave the threads, to handle the skin, to cook national flat cakes “Dolgan” and etc.
This spring after hours of rehearsals the new stage images will enrich the program of the performance “The World under the name - the art of dance”.
On May 29th and May 30th the audience will have a chance to see this premiere within the project “The Governorate Ballet School” opens its doors…” and the annual performance dedicated to the International Children Protection Day – “The World of Dance”.
