03.12.2012 The lessons of the Tatar from the bearer of the national dance language.

The acquaintance with Vera Zakamskaya ocurred in 2006 at the Third International Festival of the Professional Choreographic Schools and Colleges in Kazan, which the 4th year students of “The Governorate Ballet School” college affiliated to the National Ballet “Kostroma” took part in. Since that time, the choreographic schools of Kazan and Kostroma have been following the creative works of each other, having not rare meetings at festivals and competitions.

One of the last meetings took place during “Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” annual summer project in Moscow within which Vera Zakamskaya gave the exclusive master-classes for the dancers.

This time, the lessons of the Tatar dance were carried out for the 5th and 2nd year students. They mastered the dance vocabulary and characteristic features of the folk choreography. The boys mastered the work with a handkerchief, the girls got skills in playing the national musical instrument – metal plates. For the future dancers Vera Zakamskaya prepared two dance segments– women’s round dance “Spring tunes” (choreographed by Gay Tagirov) and men’s dance “Dance of 3 friends” (choreographed by Airat Kalimulin).

One can estimate the work of the well-known teacher and the students this spring at the graduation concert of the third generation of students of “The Governorate Ballet School”.

The main target of the dance school "The Governorate Ballet School” is to train young, strong and skilled generations of dancers for “The Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” by combining traditional and experimental educational methods, by instilling patriotism and awakening the feeling of love towards Russian history and culture.
