Having received the results of the stage practice as part of “The Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” company which is traditionally held during the annual summer project "Russian National Show” in Moscow, the best fifth-year students got an opportunity to travel together with the Ballet company to the far-away People’s Republic of China to have their first foreign guest tour.

On the invitation of Beijing TV company BTV and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China the Ballet “Kostroma" took part in filming a TV concert dedicated to the celebration of Spring all over the world from the 9th to the 18th of January. The concert is to be broadcast on Chinese New Year’s Eve on the 15th of February.

Kostroma artists made a furor having presented a much beloved dance “Prazdnichnaya” (“Celebratory”) to the catchy tune of “Kalinka”. Dressed in costumes for the turn “Heart's Warmth is called filigree” girls of the Ballet “Kostroma” performed together with famous Russian singer Vitas in his popular composition "Opera No 2". Together with the artists from other countries the Ballet took active part in stage performances of Chinese directors and choreographers in the dancing show of the prologue and the finale of the concert as well as in filming of congratulations to the TV viewers of BTV channel, in the press conferences and TV shows.

Young debutants and debutantes have gained the experience of guest tours abroad, cross cultural communication and professional collaboration. They also got a shot of creative energy, made friends and got acquainted with the Chinese culture.

As soon as they came back home Kostroma region Governor congratulated the artists and the students on successful completion of the guest tour, traditionally said words of warm wishes to the Ballet and the College in connection with the by-past holidays and discussed prospects and future joint art projects.
